CNC Machining Precision Aluminum Alloy Parts

With the widespread use of lightweight metals, aluminum machined parts are becoming the choice of many industries. With all of our machining experience, CNC aluminum machining has been Waip-Tech's specialty for many years.

We focus on manufacturing non-standard precision aluminum parts with complex structures, and are committed to providing customers with high-precision and consistent parts. We continuously invest in new CNC machine equipment and skilled employees to ensure that our team maintains a strong competitive advantage. We have also been improving the aluminum processing process to improve efficiency and quality, and continue to meet the production needs of our customers.

1. Machined aluminum prototype

Aluminum CNC prototyping is an effective way to handle complex design verification and pre-production testing before mass production of aluminum components. It enables you to identify and resolve issues faster and move towards production.

We execute efficient, accurate, and cost-effective processes in-house to deliver superior product results for your aluminum prototype machining. Our engineering team will review each project, analyze your design and address any special needs, such as a combination of welding, EDM, or wire EDM processes. This in-depth validation ensures that you get the most efficient machining process to fit your budget, time, and materials.

2. Custom aluminum parts manufacturing

If you need help with a custom aluminum processing project, we will be one of the most capable and affordable sources of production with our technology, experience and skills. Our strict implementation of ISO9001 quality system standards, combined with efficient production processes and flexible custom engineering, enables us to deliver complex projects and deliver superior product quality in a short period of time.

We also offer typical surface treatment operations for custom aluminum parts, such as sandblasting, shot blasting, polishing, electrophoresis, chromate treatment, powder coating, painting, and more.

3. Benefits of using aluminum in machining:

- Strong and lightweight

-Excellent machinability

- Excellent corrosion resistance

- Higher conductivity

- Low temperature resistance

- Surface treatment and anodic oxidation potential

-Reduce production costs

- Recyclability

4. 5-axis CNC milled aluminum

Waip-Tech offers advanced 5-axis CNC aluminum milling, which greatly increases the range of possibilities for machining various types of aluminum parts. No matter how many parts your assembly consists of, we can handle a wide range of aluminum milling projects that require high-precision and complex shape machined parts, with extremely tight tolerances and excellent surface finishes to meet your most difficult manufacturing challenges.

5. The advantages of 5-axis milling aluminum

The machine can machine 5 sides of a part with just one setup. Save set-up time and improve machining efficiency.

Higher precision and excellent surface finish, improving the overall part quality.

The workpiece does not need to go through multiple workstations, which reduces errors and fixture costs, reducing the time spent manually operating in the CNC router.

Milling and drilling with compound angles. Tool life and cycle times are improved by tilting the tool/table to maintain an optimal cutting position and a constant chip load.

Shorter, stronger knives can be used. Higher spindle speeds and feed rates can be achieved on the CNC router while reducing the load on the cutting tool.

6. The grade of aluminum material we use

Aluminum alloys have a variety of properties, such as flexibility, weldability, high strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, light weight, electrical conductivity, and an excellent anodized finish. Due to its low cost and ease of forming, aluminum is widely used in the industrial sector. The type of aluminum grade you ultimately choose depends on the intended use of the aluminum part in the manufacturing project.

6061 aluminum is the most versatile heat-treatable aluminum alloy while retaining most of the excellent qualities of aluminum. This grade has a wide range of mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. It can be manufactured by most commonly used techniques and has good machinability in the annealed state.

6063 aluminum is commonly known as a construction alloy. It has fairly high mechanical properties, excellent finishing characteristics and a high degree of corrosion resistance. It is most commonly used in a variety of indoor and outdoor architectural applications and decorations. 6063 aluminum is used in aluminum extrusion applications.

Aluminum 5052 is the strongest alloy of the non-heat-treatable grades. Its fatigue strength is higher than that of most other aluminum alloy grades. It has good resistance to marine atmospheric and salt water corrosion and has excellent machinability.

Aluminum 7075 is one of the strongest aluminum alloys available. It has an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, making it ideal for use in high-stress components. 7075 aluminum is a typical material for complex structures and high precision in the aerospace industry.

Aluminum 6082 is a medium-strength alloy with excellent corrosion resistance. It is the strongest of the 6000 series alloys. 6082 is known as a structural alloy. In sheet form, 6082 is the alloy most commonly used for machining. As a relatively new aluminum alloy, 6082 aluminum has high strength, such as high tensile strength, making it a replacement for 6061 aluminum in many applications.
