To help you better understand Waip-Tech, here are our some answers to frequently asked questions about prototyping and cnc manufacturing service.

General

Q:   What are the advantages if choosing CNC to make my parts£¿ 

A:    The CNC processing part has high dimensional stability, high machining accuracy and high repetition accuracy. 

          CNC machined parts are far superior to 3D printing parts in accuracy, strength, surface finish and material availability.

Q:   What is your minimum order quantity?

A:    There is no minimum order quantity requirements at Waip-Tech. Our services can support you scale from one-off prototypes all the way to mid/high-volume production.



Q:   How quickly can I get my parts

A:    Each process is different and depends on part size, quantity required, and finishing requirements. 

         Quality prototyping parts can be made in 5-15 days. 

         More complex parts requiring,other special features or cnc batch parts will take longer. 

Q:   What about the payment terms?

A:    Generally, 50% deposit and 50% prior to shipping

Q:   What are Waip-Tech¡¯s shipping terms?


A:    Waip-Tech's standard terms are Ex Works (EXW) for prototypes and regular production orders. This means that the customer is responsible for shipping, customs clearance and all other associated fees once the goods have left our premises. We also offer terms of Delivery At Place(DAP) by DHL Express air freight, customers are responsible for import duties and fees associated with international shipping. Customers also have the option to use their own shipping accounts (e.g. DHL or FedEx ) during checkout if applicable.

Q:   How do I get my quote?

A:    You can submit an inquiry using our form on the website or email us at info@waip-tech.com


           Waip-Tech need the following information:

            Drawing as PDF and/or 3D model

           The desired quantity

           The material

           The surface treatment

Q:   What file types do you accept for instant quotes? 

A:    For quoting Waip-Tech prefer 3D CAD file in format in STEP, IGES, X_T or STL.

         2D CAD drawings with reference & key dimensions in format DWG and PDF.

Q:   How long to get a quote?


A:    Waip-Tech aim to quote all prototype projects within 24 hours. All batch cnc parts projects within 24 hours. All injection molding within 3 days. 

         There are sometimes processes and materials   which Waip-Tech does not offer in house; these could add time to the quotation and will be highlighted as and when.


Manufacturing

Q:   What types of manufacturing processes can you offer? 

A:    CNC Machining, Turning Machining, Milling Machining, Injection Molding, Sheet metal, Finishing Service.

Q:   Does Waip-Tech have 5-axis machine to produce high precise parts?

A:    Waip-Tech equipped with 2sets 5-axis machine machines, processing size: 400*300mm. 

         Our 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines allow us have flexible capacity to handle your customized parts, no matter simple or high complex.



Q:   What materials does Waip-Tech offer for machining? 

A:    Waip-Tech provide a variety of plastic and metal materials from ABS, nylon, polycarbonate (PC), and polypropylene PP to stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and brass. 

Q:   What are Waip-Tech provided materials for sheet metal

A:    Waip-Tech stock a variety of metal materials including stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and brass.

Q:   What tolerances can your CNC machining achieve? 


A:   Waip-Tech¡¯s general tolerance is applied to ISO 2768-1  (F for machined metal, M for machined plastic)


       There is not a given set of tolerances that fits all processes and materials. In every case, the final tolerances on your part will depend on a number of factors, 

       including but not limited to: part size, design geometry, materials, surface finish.



Q:   What type of post finishes does Waip-Tech provide? 

A:   Waip-Tech¡¯s in house prototype finishing is capable of providing the best post-finish including assembling & form fitting, fastening & metal inserting, sanding & polishing, 

        blasting & brushing. 


      With a professional partner who we has cooperated with for many years, we also offer a wide array of specialty surface treatments, including , painting & printing, laser etching,

      anodizing,   electroplating, chroming, chemical finishing, powder coating, etc. To provide a fast emulated prototype as same as the final product to client, 

      we support one-stop surface finishing operations for client¡¯s need.

Q:   What certifications does the Waip-Tech have?

A:    The Waip-Tech is currently certified ISO 9001:2015

Q:   Can I request a material test certificate from Waip-Tech?

A:    Yes, please let us know upfront on the order if you required



Q:   Do you offer size inspection reports? 

A:    Waip-Tech offers the size reports upon request, and we just ask that this information is requested upfront on the order if you required

Q:   How does Waip-Tech ensure the quality of my parts?

A:    Waip-Tech takes a proactive approach to customer¡¯s quality concerns from the initial communication, providing cost-effective and rationalized advice from quotation, designs

         materials, production processes, manufacturability, etc.


         At the stage of production, our engineer team reanalyze it from designs, materials, production processes, manufacturability, ensuring every details correct to meet requirements, 

        and  then start next steps, for example programming.


        In addition, every process from material income to shipment is inspected according to quality management requirements: material inspection, in-process control and 

       QC inspection  before  shipment.
